Five RI students get scholarships to study in Singapore
Five Indonesian students get
undergraduate scholarships from Singapore to study at the National
University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University.
According to a press release received here on Tuesday, the scholarships
were presented by Singapore Ambassador to Indonesia, Gerrard Ho in a
ceremony at the embassy`s office on Tuesday.
The scholarship is an annual program for ASEAN bright students to pursue undergraduate studies at a Singapore university.
It underlines Singapore`s commitment to improve human resources capacities of the region.
Since its inception in 1998, more than 500 Singapore Scholarships have
been awarded to 80 students. It is hoped that the students will later
return to their country and contribute meaningfully for the advancement
of their communities and countries.
